Book: People and Places - A book about 'La condition humaine', summer 2010

Drawing from the prominent collection of the FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais (Dunkerque, France), People and Places brings together images and essays which reflect on the shifting relationships between individuals and the communities –cultural or geographical– in which they live. From the historical photographs of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau to a wide ranging group of artists working today from Jeff Wall to Superflex, People and Places aims not to capture or define a certain aspect of our changing boundaries, but to show the diversity within la condition humaine.
